Lymphatic Massage:

Reduce Pain, Swelling and Bruising after Plastic Surgery

Prevents the formation of Scar tissue and Fibrosis

Pre-& Post Liposuction, Tummy tucks, Breast Augmentation, Breast Implants, Brazilian Butt Lift, and other cosmetic surgeries.

Lymphatic Massage (Lymphatic Drainage) is ideal for a full and effective recovery after any type of surgery. It is the base of all treatments. By moving the lymphatic fluid away from the area with lymphatic drainage massage, both swelling and bruising are reduced. This helps to make the results more immediately apparent. After a surgical procedure tissue can produce excess lymphatic fluid as the body reacts to the traumatic action of the insertion of cannulas and removal of fat. Even with less intrusive procedures, some patients may experience a degree of tissue disruption, leading to an accumulation of excess fluid, called edema. In some cases, pockets of fibrosis may form, leading to hardened areas of scar tissue.   The manual lymphatic massage main objective is to eliminate fluids and toxins that stagnate due to the rupture of lymphatic vessels in the surgery and that cannot be eliminated by the circulatory system because of its large size and quantity. The lymphatic massage will be applied in sessions with a maximum duration of 45 minutes to one hour each. Our recommendation is at least 5 sessions of lymphatic massage for patients, and  between 10 and 12 sessions is the ideal number of lymphatic massage that each patient should receive.

Post-Surgical Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage  Main Benefits:

– Reduces the hematomas and the pain

– Relives post-surgical edema

– Reduces the possibilities of developing fibrosis

-Stimulates the lymphatic system

– Mobilizes waste substances and waste from the surgery

– Accelerates the regeneration of the tissues.

– It’s painless

– It’s not invasive

– Doesn’t leave scars

The massage itself tends to be gentle and light, and should be a relaxing and comfortable procedure for the patient. Additionally, the reduction in discomfort and swelling immediately afterwards makes a lymphatic massage an even more pleasurable experience. Your cosmetic surgeon can advise you as to whether lymphatic massage will benefit you following your liposuction or other surgical procedure.
